Wystawa Piotra C. Kowalskiego
i jego bobrów z Nienawiszcza
Galeria Duża Scena UAP, ul. Wodna 24
wernisaż: 16.10.2026, godz. 17.00
16–29.10.2026
Exhibition by Piotr C. Kowalski
and His Beavers from Nienawiszcz
Galeria Duża Scena UAP, 24 Wodna Street
Opening reception: 16 October 2026, 5:00 PM
16–29 October 2026
Can beavers be painters? Piotr C. Kowalski proves that they can.
What happens when an artist puts down his brush and allows paintings to emerge on their own – in a pond, in the mud, and in the flow of a river? The results of this extraordinary collaboration can be seen in a new exhibition at Galeria Duża Scena UAP.
For years, Piotr C. Kowalski has taken painting beyond the sterile confines of the studio and into the elements. As part of his long-term artistic project, he has invited his natural neighbours, just beyond the fence – the beavers of Nienawiszcz – to become co-creators. The result of this enduring relationship is process-based art, in which tooth marks, organic sediment, and the passage of time become artistic gestures in their own right.
This is no mere anecdote, but a powerful ethical statement. The exhibition reminds us that nature is not merely a backdrop to human activity, but a full-fledged partner in shaping the world we inhabit.
